Whether taking a company into a new region or starting brand new business lines, you roll up your sleeves and wear as many hats as necessary when starting from scratch.
Over the years, I wore the hats of a cold caller, a telemarketer, a graphic designer, an interior designer, a decorator, a workplace strategist, a change champion, a project manager, a site manager, a scriptwriter, a brand strategist, an extra on photography set, etc. The list goes on regardless of my qualification on paper. My attitude has always been, “It’s fine, I’ll do it,” when we have no time or budget to hire someone fast enough because it is always “a chicken and egg” situation.
Never have I thought I would take on another unexpected role. Recently someone asked me what I am most proud of since I became a Certified Coach. Instead of being grateful to work with people from all walks of life and organizations that care for their people, I think my response surprised her.
I am most proud of being my own IT support. In the last few months, I have resolved 100% of all of my IT issues, thanks to Google and Apple. I am not going to lie; it makes me super proud. It trumps everything else because technology fascinates me. When you are no longer working for companies that come with their own IT powerhouse, you are it!
We are never too old to learn new things. Invest in yourself! In light of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for always feeling young.
